The Suitcase Chronicles

I call this weblog The Suitcase Chronicles because of two things: one, I am always on the move; since 2005 it was always, hop on the airplane, fly for 16 hours, land somewhere; back and forth, from Brunei Darussalam to the United Kingdom. Yes, that has been my life since 2005. A lot of travelling. A lot of new experiences. A lot of new ideas. Secondly, and this can be said to be a new reason, I have made a huge transition from being an artist to an Art Historian. Okay, at the moment I am an Art Historian in-the-making; and a lot of people have been asking me why make the change? Well, why not? An artist can have some time off if she wants to... If you'd like to know more about me, I'm afraid it's going to be difficult for me to sum that up. My interests change from time to time; and from the perspective of others I may have interest in too few things- but that's mostly because I don't have as much time now as I did then. However, when something has appealed to me greatly, I tend to show a lot of passion for the subject; thus resulting in rather long posts. I like to make pieces that are autobiographical, I have to admit, because I am a bit of a narcissist. But what I will not admit to is the accusation that my work is political (Red Tape II). Radical and powerful they may be, they were just reactions to the bad choices I had made, that have put me in a tight situation. There is nothing wrong with the path I have to take, but I just didn't feel that it was something for me. Anyway, I'll leave you to read the actual blog now. Enjoy!
